yup - I've fallen prey to the dreaded biological clock
I'll be 30 *EEEKKKK* in a couple of months and keep uumming and ahhing about having another baby and have finally decided that it needs to be sooner rather than later!
There seems to be more to consider having #2 than there ever was with having #1. Perhaps I just know a lot more than before when it was "cool - lets have a baby, it will just fit in with our lives, nothing will change" Everything changes! For better
So... DH and I have decided that with the bonus payment I got from work and my nappy commissions, instead of re-doing the bathroom we're going to save up all of our money so that when #2 arrives I can take at least a year off and Caitlin will still be young enough to benefit from me being home with her too
We'll start trying in January to give us enough time to save up because it might not take us 18 months to get pregnant this time *fingers and toes crossed* and now I have the benefit of knowing I can ask our own Oh Baby experts with the whole fertility thing and doing it right this time.
I'm so excited!

That is great news Toni hubby and I are going to start trying for number 2 in July this year (this will hopefully make an 18 month gap between two children). All the very best

It is an awful lot to think about Toni, the noise of your own biological clock ticking can be deafening at times.
I was completely against having a child before Olivia was 3 and just after I gave birth I was sure I would only ever need 1 baby.
Life blows us in funny directions. I sat there and thought about it, I'm 28 - not that old! But my fertility signs are diminishing, something that was very strong after pregnancy has dramatically dropped. My Mum had early menopause and my health history has followed hers to the tick.
I do have horrible pregnancies though, it took me awhile to get over the last nine months. I am hoping it being a second child will provide a decent presence of mind this time.
Best of luck for your up and coming TTC journey sugar.

It was a big descision for us too. having had a really good pregnancy (I know I was very lucky and this might not be the case with #2), then a horrid birth experience, then a not so nice first few weeks (which I now accept is the norm when coming to terms with being a new mum and I hope I'll not be so hard on myself next time around), and even with all of Caitlin's little medical hiccups she is an absolute joy.
The other issue I've had to deal with is that in my mind I was thinking that if I have another baby it will feel like I'm replacing Caitlin I know this isn't true and I know that having another child will benefit her just as much as us. I guess I was questioning if I had enough love for two children Of course I have! My Mum did!
The other, which is quite a big thing for us, is that friends of ours had a similar birth experience to us and ended up finding out after any months of TTC #2, that they hadn't put her all back together right after the CS and they ended up on IVF. It was a very traumatic time for them and I really wouldn't wish that on anyone
So, yeh - it has been a huge decision for us and we will use the next 8 months to prepare ourselves mentally and physically

Good luck! I think it is a good idea to start thinking about another one now, if you leave it until Caitlin is 2 you will probably change your mind
I'm feeling like we need to be thinking about another one too, Ella will be 3 soon and a bigger age gap will be too much I feel.. but it was so much easier not planning the first one It seems like there is never a perfect time!

Congrats Toni - I think it's great that you & DH have put such a lot of thought into TTC #2.
PS. You're a young chick (my biological clock isn't ticking and I'll be 35 later this year)

Yay exciting times ahead for you. I'm still doing the umming and arrhing thing about trying for #2. DH & I have talked about it alot and there is definately pros and cons with the whole thing. On the bad days I still find myself saying "and you want to go through this again why???"

Absolutely!
I could have on my ticker "Blondini #3 due in ...."
Btw - the way AF is at the moment I would give anything to be PG right now
