No Teflon on FBs or Honey Child

I just saw in another thread that some people think that Teflon has been used on Fuzzi Bunz and Honey Child Nappies. Please note, this is not the case!

Q: Do your nappies have Teflon on them?

A: Neither Fuzzi Bunz or Honey Child Pockets use Teflon. However Fuzzi Bunz do have an additional waterproofing that is called a DWR and behaves similar to Teflon. This is applied to the outside layer of the nappy and does not touch the skin. DWR's are common on all upholstery, carpets and drapes. It is not allerginic.

Honey Child Pockets do not use any DWR's or additional waterproofing.

OK so what I gather from my friend google and wikipedia is that DWR is durable water repellent. So..... FYI

Some of the compounds can degrade into Perfluorooctanic Acid which is currently being reviewed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency to determine potential human carcinogenicity
