voice!! And it took my DH over 1/2 hour to get that my miming this morning was not playing a game ROFL. The kids barely understand my gestures and I feel miserable.
 DH is tired
 I have laryngitis
Hannah and Briona have a cold (what I had yesterday) but Hannah also has a sensitive tummy so she has not been keeping her food down this morning
Kryssi is bored and wants someone to play with!!
All this at the end of a week holiday from work but I have a feeling I won't be going back to work tomorrow as planned! Anyway, aside from panadol and lemon honey drinks, is there anything I can do? I presume that because it's viral, there's nothing a dr can do for the laryngitis. Oh and is nurofen safe in pg'cy? I forgot.

No you can't take nurofen, sorry. There isn't much you can take when preggy, DH went to get me some cough syrup a couple of weeks ago and the pharmacist even said no to that I would just stick to the lemon and honey drinks and maybe buy some halls or something, they aren't as potent as strepsils, something else the pharamacist said I couldn't have without clearing it with a doc first.
Hope you all feel better soon, and LOL at your DH thinking you were playing a game.

Strepsils are totally fine to take. I asked my MW when I was preggy with Josh and she said they are totally fine. |

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Hey.  You can have Comvita lozenges.  They're safe for use during pregnancy and gluten free plus they're made with manuka honey so naturally antibacterial.

 Supermarkets, pharmacies and health shops.
They are called Comvita Fortacold throat lozenges.

I feel your pain Teresa. I have had the same thing for nearly a week - I have the husky-0900 thing going on now. Have had 3 weeks off work and was supposed to go back yesterday but had to ring in sick. |

Woah Janine don't tell me that!! The pain is worse today and I still have very little voice, today I've got as far as trousers on but still wearing a dressing gown on top We're all going to the dr's at 2pm.
This really sucks cause I had last week off as annual leave, and me included there are only 3 secretaries at work!! Makes me feel pretty bad but if I can't eat (I'm basically sticking with liquids - and those lozenges - for my throat's sake) then there's no way I can be at work.
