Hoping someone here can help me out...My partner had a vasectomy reversal 5 months ago (11 years post vasectomy). His initial SA showed low sperm count, but they were present so that was a positive result. His recent SA showed no sperm present at all. The letter said this could be due to scarring or due to the testes not producing sperm anymore (unfortunately the latter being the more likely cause as both sides were rejoined).
Our option now is a biopsy and IVF if sperm is being made.
Has anyone had a similar experience post-vasectomy reversal? Is it possible for scarring to reduce and sperm count to return?
The thought of IVF is very daunting... but we would prefer this to sperm donation.
 Thanks,
 A.

Hi, my DF had his vasectomy reversal in June and the initial sa showed 10,000 sperm. I didn't realise the scar tissue could still scar after sperm was detected, I thought the scar tissue only occurred in the first few weeks. :-( have you had any further news?
