HiI have recently decided to become an egg donor. I am a fair way through the process as I have viewed profiles and picked a recipient couple and am now awaiting a treatment plan. Is there anyone who has been one or used a donor? Am presently feeling confused about the meeting issue. I have always said I would like to meet the couple but now I'm not sure if the couple want to meet me which had left me feeling confused.   I don't want to let them down at this point but will feel let down myself if I don't meet them. Is this selfish? I would love to hear others views and experiences in relation to this

Ive been a donor twice and left it up to the parents to decide, the first couple didnt want to meet but the second did, it was pretty nerve racking but all went well.
So I cant give you a view from your side but if you are adamant that you want to meet with the couple, then stick to it and they will need to respect it and meet or choice another donor and the clinic will find another couple for you.

You are doing something amazing and you need to be 100% comfortable with all aspects xx

Thanks - I'm glad to hear from another donor as there seems to be not much out there for actual donors.

Hi to you both, just wondering how things went with your egg recipients if you dont mind me asking. If not my husband and I are currently looking for an egg donor. Can completely understand if you do not feel comfortable replying to me.

I am on a waiting list for an egg donor, I sort of understand about you wantng to meet them, but on the other hand the ones that desperately wanting a donor are scared that you might not like them. It's really a double edge sword when you think about it.
