I want to get Chiara a swaddling wrap to help keep her arms in in the hammock (we use a Safety Sleep in the cot) and I like the look of the Merino Kids Coccoi (http://www.thesleepstore.co.nz/shop/New+arrivals/Cocooi+babywrap+%26+beanie+pack.html ) but for $70 I could get two of the cotton Swaddleme wraps. Has anyone tried the Coccoi? Are they worth it? And would they fit a bigger baby, coz the guidelines say up to 5kg but they are stretchy...

wow, they're pretty expensive for something that is only up to around 2months of age.?? They do look cute though~!
I found that as long as you had a 'big enough' peice of fabric (e.g. cotton or merino) that baby stayed pretty well inside the wrap for that age anyway... it was from about 3/4months up that they would get their arms out easier.
You can get quite large merino swaddling wraps on trademe I think... around $40? that would last you longer...? I always wrapped with babies arms down by their sides and it was important to get a 'tight' wrap to keep them snuggled...
then of course as he got out of wrap all the time, we created the Peke Moe :)

Congrats Emma! (I haven't been on here in ages!)
You've probably already made your decision, but a friend from my coffee group raved about her sons'. It was stretchy and he outgrew it recently at about four & half months (he was prob about 7kgs).

I can't remember what she chose to replace it.

Actually I think she found a material at spotlight which had a similar stretch, and was going to make her own.

Teehee, I have to agree with her - they are awesome! I ended up buying two of them and they are great, easy to use and seem to keep her arms in while still giving her enough freedom to wriggle around a bit. I think they will fit for ages too coz they are really long.

Lily kicks out of hers at the moment but she wears the hat all the time! I have a miracle blanket from the sleep store which is great and a much better wrap IMO |
