I am leaving alan in NP for the weekend with his Nanna while me and hubby get some much needed time away. We have not even left yet, but Alan has ben away all day I am missing him so much already it make's me want ot cry when I think about it. I know he will be fine, but it still feel's like there is a piece of me missing.

Totally agree Kelly. Atho, I have never actually left Hannah for more than 12 hours and that was bad enough, so I cant really talk!! Have a great time!

Arna has just got back from a 3 day holiday in Hamilton (with Grandma) and I missed her but I didn't. It was good that we could do what we wanted when we wanted... OK we stayed at home the whole time but the first night she was gone I was in my jammmies by 6 and eating Junk Food (if I eat it around her she wants some!) and just blobbed!!
You will miss him but you will get the much needed time out!!

no you arent being over protective. Like you said hes only 6mths old. I think when you feel comfortable enough to you will and you will miss him but you will also enjoy the time to yourself. I think it makes you enjoy your kids more to when you get a break from them.

6 months is little! I never left Quinn anywhere at that stage. But now that he is nearly two i LOVE when he goes to stay with my mum!
Deb, you'll be fine. Missing him is fine but you will have some well deserved time out! Hope you have a good rest!

OK so We won't be doign that again in a hurry it was so sucky leaving him for so long. Not to mention we went ot Palmy and sorry Palmy ladies, but it was so boreing. We went down to go to a friend's birthday party and unfortunally the desil to get down there cost heap's more then we planned so we did not make it to the party (it was a buy your own dinner). The bed we were sleeping in was crappy and uncomfortable. It was one waste of a weekend we are only pleased my Mum paid for it. We would have had a better weekend if we had Alan at his Nanna's and we stayed home. we did enjoy the trip there and back it was good us time we talked about heap's of stuff, but honestly we won't be going away again anytme soon.

Welcome back - pity that Palmy was a let down however at least now you know what you could do for a good weekend away - send the kids away and stay home.

Lol Lizzle we did walk round down a little bit, but really unless you have $$$ to shop there is no point in being in Palmy.
