I thought so too. They looked like they could be related That is what I mean though - there is nothing wrong with either of our babies - Plunket are morons! |

I think a lot of what you hear from plunket, is each individuals own opinion, because each plunket nurse is different and some are really old school and some are in todays world. I have learnt to take everything the plunket nurse says with a grain of salt because in the end they only see us for how long and very frequently, it is us as parents who see our children everyday and know them inside out.

Astin isn't fat, he's cute! He is gorgeous! And he is long too, so he's big in general as opposed to just heavy.
I have to say tho that some people will never be happy with a baby's size, when my gremlins were tiny we got "oh they're big for twins" and "look how chubby they are" and now we get "oh they're quite little for 1 aren't they?" You can't win!

The nurse at plunket said the same thing to me. She was like saying not to let her get too big and she should only be having 700mls a day and comments like that. But then she also said shes lovely and im doing a good job etc etc.
Shes nearly 11 weeks and shes 6kg.

I got told to cut down his solids too because he may be eating too much!
....probably true though! he has 1 and a half tins a meal (once a day) |
Spencer eats about that much each day as well, I really wouldn't bother to listen to Plunket, if you spoke to a different nurse they would probably say he is fine. He is hardly of the "normal" charts.
They soon burn it off when they crawl anyway. I mean really how can you overfeed a baby?
I think everyone needs to stop obsessing about their babies weight, Spencer hasn't been weighed for 2 months and I'm fine with that, he looks healthy, he's alert etc, that's all I care about.

I get these comments all the time, and everyone tells me that Sam is huge, and yeah he did grow really fast, but his weight gain has slowed down quite a lot lately, and he's now 8.7KG and 70CM long at 6 months. Astin is a gorgeous little man and it sucks when other people make you feel like you have a giant baby!
