Hi I have had sharp lower abdo pains for the past week and a bit (both sides). My period was due on Monday and I took a test that day but it was negative.
I am still waiting for my monthly to come, it is usually on time. I spoke to a friend who told me there wasn't much chance that I could be pregnant since I didn't test positive the other day but I thought for some people it can take longer for positive tests.

I don't know what to think. Searching the internet seems to just make things worse. I'm starting to think maybe my period isn't coming because I have somehow delayed it mentally (I know that sounds stupid).

Would just love to hear when you had neg/positive tests etc?

Hi Charlie It can take some people ages to show a positive on a preggy test. Depends on the hormone levels as that's what the tests pick up on. Sometimes it's mother nature teasing you and your period may just be late. I'm very regular with my period too, but somtimes for some unkown reason it comes up to 5 days late. Unfortunately nothing you can do but wait... |

a friend of mine had 2 or 3 negative pregnancy tests before she got her positive, so yes, it might just be too early. Hopefully for your sake!!!

My ectopic took nearly 8 weeks to give a faint positive, but all of my pregnancies have taken a while to show up.

Charlie.b I'm in exactly the same boat! SO frustrating! This is our first month TTC and my period is now 2.5 weeks overdue. I've tested the day after my due date, then 1 week later, then 3 days after that, then 2 weeks after due date, then 3 days after that - all negaive so I'm thinking it's pretty unlikely...
I'm actually convinced I've made my body think it's pregnant when it's not just from overthinking it ha ha! Google is my worst enemy, it seems like it's quite common for some people not to get a positive test right away? Wishful thinking?

I am currently in the same boat... 3 days late now, and I am usually really on time.
Do you think it matters what brand of test you use?
I have a bunch of the ones from Aussie, and have tested twice wih clear BFN's so I dont know if my body is playing nasty tricks n me or whats going on......
It is starting to upset me though....

Hey guys I ended up OV way later then I thought, so would of actually got my Positive 2 weeks after conception. I had a scan last week and my period dates were about a week off the actual little thing in my tummy so she said I would of had a long cycle that month - which I find really wierd because I'm pretty much regular!
Hope some BFPS are showing for you guys soon :)
