So far, I have been using my 3-wheel stroller in the newborn layback position, with his soft carrycot fitting nicely inside. Only now, my not-so-little boy is growing out of his carrycot!
So I'm wondering when can you start sitting the child up in a stroller? And do you need to start at a low gradient incline with them leaning quite far back? Any advice would be much appreciated!

I put Cooper at what ever level he's happy at, I try & lay it back most of the time but usually he wants to see what is going on.
Mine is about half way between a 45 deg angle & flat IYKWIM

I wouldn't do completely upright but if he wants a small incline now then that should be fine. If he starts slumping over then just lay him back down.

I'm the same as Aliasmum, about a 45 degree angle. I actually took the cue from the boys as they started to be really interested in the world around them rather than just sleep.

I ditto what Yvette says, we took our cue from Bethany too. She was always mega curious and from VERY early on let us know that she didn't like lying down cuz she couldn't see enough. We only had a pram for her until 3mths but didn't know ourselves when we were finally able to put her in a stroller more upright! I guess it was prob at about a 45 deg angle, then we just tried diff angles as she seemed to like them. If she fell asleep I tended to put it right back so that she could relax better.

I just put Caden at what ever level he was happy at as well. From 3 months onwards he wanted to see where he was going, and would grizzle if he was laying too flat. When he got sleepy I would lower him down.
I think it has a lot to do with head control as well, if he is sitting more upright, does his head flop forward or can he hold his pretty well and steady?
