   Hi
I'm going to be in Auckland for a couple of days and should have shopping time!

What do any Aucklanders reckon are the must visit baby shops in the big smoke? (I will have a car).

Nature Baby for sure, either in Grey Lynn or their new store in Newmarket (I like the Newmarket one better). Has gorgeous clothes but also some really cool wooden toys.
Ummm... oh, Smartypants I think it's called, it's kind of a baby clothes op shop (sells some groovy new stuff too) in Ponsonby. You can have loads of fun in there without spending much money.
I think those would be my top two

Smartypants is cool. And the Patch/JK outlet shops are pretty good. IMO avoid Dressmart and go to either Fox or Westgate. The staff at Westgate are lovely, they always drool over my girls |

I second the Patch outlet store at Westgate over the Dressmart one, I have yet to find a great bargain at the Dressmart one but have at Westgate!
If you are out at botany, there is a little store down by new World, if you go the arm that heads to the carpark past the sushi and $2 shop. Cant remeber the name but they have some really cool toys and other things that I haven't seen elsewhere.

I went to Sylvia Park yesterday and in the new bit that's just opened (down by paknsave), you have JK, Pumpkin Patch, Cotton on Kids, TNT and baby factory. I got some good bargains as some of them are still having "opening" sales. Also the Warehouse is there, and they've got their 50% off sale, you have to hunt through the racks though to find the "yellow" sticker items.

If you manage to get to the North Shore and are planning to go with cloth nappies you could go to Milford and go to the snazzipants store. They stock all sorts of MCNs.
Ooh and don't forget Syvia Park has the new Chocolate Lounge. Not baby related but if you're going there anyway..... |
