At about 14 months. He would have happily still had two but his night time bed time was pushing out and out and I wanted him down before 8.45pm |

My daughter dropped one day sleep pretty early, has been down to one for a few months now. It works well for us, her sleep is normally around 2 hours in the morning before lunch, then bedtime is 7. I found when she was having 2 sleeps she was fighting going to sleep at bedtime, and also began fighting when I put her down for either nap. This way we have peace in our house most bedtimes.

thanks guys, varies heaps eh. My little guy has a good morning sleep for a couple of hours, but when I put him in bed for an hour in the afternoon he just plays and doesn't sleep. Might try him on one and see how we go...

DD was kind of wavering between 1 and 2 sleeps for a few months (around 15mo) and because i needed to get her into a routine, i forced her to stay awake in the morning & she had a big arvo sleep instead. Now I am more relaxed again (she is 20mo) and if she is tired, sometimes has two sleeps on the odd day :-)
