It looks like this time round we might be eligible for public funding for our OI...so does it cover everything or just the drugs.
Will it pay for all the blood tests etc too?

Not sure what OI is, but I am under the impression that it should do - if a public consultation recommends it as a treatment, all necessary parts of it should be included in the funding

Yes, we have just been through a public funding cycle and everything was covered. Our cycle was unsucessful but we had three frozen embryos. So our first round of funding doesn't run out until all those embryos have been used, unless one of them results in a pregnancy.

Oh yeah, just read that you said OI, I don't know what that is either so disregard my post if it does not apply.

Sorry, OI is ovulation induction or something like that. Basically drugs injected to stimulate ovulation.

Hi HuMum, we did 2 months of OI through FA Hamilton and all costs were covered by government funding including blood tests. The OI was unsuccessful for us but we went on to complete one round of IVF after with a positive result. Good luck with the upcoming cycle. |
