I rang one of the local kindy's up today to see if Andrew can go there (he is seriously driving me nuts). She told me he can start morning kindy at the beginning of next term. And the cool thing is I know one of the kindy teachers from years ago when I was in guides, so she is excited to have Andrew there, she's going to take him into her group . I'm glad that he is going to have some time away from me and playing with children again. |

Most public kindys are sessional so if you are 4 and over ish you do mornings 8:45-11:45 I think they do 2 long morning sessions a week till 12:45. Then the younger kids 3ish do afternoons 12:45-3ish 3 times a week. You just pay a donation which used to be 1$ a session but most kindys suggest more than that now I think. you take your own food lots of kindys do shared morning tea, so every child takes a piece of fruit and it is all cut up and shared out between the kids
Day care is open all day 7-6 and you pay a flat rate for the whole day. They usually provide food, the child can sleep there etc
