Hi ladies, posted this in Charts as well, but really really really hope someone can advice what the *%$# is going on with my ov... I am so confused! I have been using OPK's the last 3 days and thought the first day I had a + result cos a line came up...same faint-ish line yesterday so I thought cos they weren't dark that I'd ovulated already and was now in the 2ww (and we'd BD'd our little hearts out in the preceeding 5 days or so).  BUT this evening (about the same time as always) I had another go and bam! Dark as line..darker than the control line....so I'm thinking that I HAVEN'T ov at all and am about to? On day 18? aaargh what is going on? And DP not here tonight so have I missed the boat if we don't BD till tomorrow? I know it says 12 hours to 3 days after getting a + OPK result, I'm just so afraid of missing that window. Am getting quite wound up and teary about it all. I'm getting confused about my cm too. Sorry for TMI but seems like there's a lot of slightly eggy cm the last few days so I"ve put down eggwhite on FF...but maybe it is just been creamy all along?! it stretches a little... but tonight seems lots more. Aaargh I'm useless at this whole ttc and am just getting more and more upset and confused with it all. What is my body doing?!

Hugs Emmecat! Try not to stress too much tonight as there's nothing you can do, then jump DH's bones like mad tomorrow and Monday and hopefully you'll catch that eggie!

Ditto, hang in there! CD18 isn't terribly late to ovulate, I know I have on CD17.

HI ladies, thanks for your replies Feel like I'm DEF ov now...boobs bigger, CM eggy/watery, temp took a dip today...and..I'm grumpier lol The weird thing was , my cycle was 28 days for ages, now it seems the last few months like it's about 33, with me ov anywhere between day 16-21! WIll most def be jumping DP's bones tonight and tomorrow...poor thing, I wore him out about day 14/15 and he thought he was all done for the month LOL At least these OPK's are telling me when I'm about to ov, I would've missed out completely if I hadn't taken the test yesterday! So hopefully it's not too late tonight and tomorrow. Fingers crossed. |

Hi Emmecat with the opk's I use from Baby4you the line that comes up must be as dark as the control line for it to be a positive opk. I normally get a faint line the day before I get a really dark line. Now it doesn't mean you have missed the boat all your body is doing is telling you you are most fertile now so as soon as your DH gets home today DO IT and again tonight if you can and tomorrow as well.
With regards to cm there is an awesome book called Taking charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler that Baby4you sells. If are able to buy this book do so as it explains everything so well and shows you what cm looks like and it might help you feel less confused and you can always sell it again after you get your BFP.

Hi Honeybun, wow that's useful about that book... I'll look into it. It's frustrating cos I KNOW what I'm looking for....but then get confused when I see it on how to describe it LOL Now I know how to use OKK's properly, I think it'll help heaps. The lfirst 3 days the line was definately visable, quite clear but not darker than the control line. Yesterday it went dark as, then darker straight away. That's why I'm worried maybe I missed the boat! DP had to go away last night so we just didn't have time to BD, but I'll see him tonight and hopefully that won't be too late. Took the OPK about 6pmish... fingers crossed my ov lasts at least till tomorrow morning! |

   Hi,
Just wanted to say I feel for you, I struggle with this whole ttc thing, everytime I try checking something I get different results.

Been trying for several months now and still not really sure how to prove when ov was or is. OPK tests seemed to say day 16/17 but the lines were faint, maybe baby saliva test, well that just ferns all the time.
