Can anyone recommend a good swim school on the North Shore for lessons for a preschooler? Have been looking at the Mairangi Bay swim school or the Millennium centre- has anyone been to either of these places? TIA |

We haven't heard about either of those, but checked out both the Glenfield Leisure Centre and Helen's School of Swimming and went with Helen's in the end - I think their website is www.swimschool.co.nz - and they are fabulous! Small classes, great teachers, and of course it helps that it is really close by (less than 5min for us). PM me if you'd like more info :)

The swim centre is really good too, I went there when I was little so its been around for a while, its smaller than some of the other places, I really like it there. I think their websites just www.swimcentre.co.nz.
My friends daughter goes to Millennium and she really enjoys it, shes been there about a year now (shes almost 5) and has gained water confidence but not a huge amount of swimming skills, although Im not a swimming teacher so I dont really know what the focus is meant to be at that age.

We also went to the Swim Centre, we took DS at 6 months old and they were great. The place isn't big but the class sizes are small and the teachers seem fantastic, ours definitely was.
We shop at Countdown Westgate and got a set of lessons for half price (8 or 9 weeks) it was $59 so if you can get a voucher you could try it for that price and see what you think.

We went to Hilton Brown in Albany which was great.
Now we've moved to the other side of the shore so I've contacted Helen's School of Swimming to see if they have spots for our kids.
