So DD is now 7months old, and I have been expressing my excess supply in the AM and on the days I work, so there is always a supply in my freezer. I have been using the Swispers BM Storage Bags from the supermarket but at $10.20 for 20 bags, it's pretty expensive.
SO what do you do with your EBM???
 TIA |

I just used an ice cube tray, then when they're frozen I put them in ziplock bags.      In the beginnign I used an ice cream container but I never express anymore.

I use the swisspers bags too, but can usually find them a bit cheaper than that at countdown.

I use ice cube trays as well - the Tupperware ones with the lid on them when put them in an airtight container.

We scored a few plastic bottles from NICU that fit perfectly on the bottom of a medela pump and are fine to freeze, holding up to 180ml (we took about 50 bottles home with milk in them 'cause the little guy was only 2kg and 3 weeks old when we took him home, and I had a good supply at the time!).
Avent also sell some that fit on the bottom of theirs.
Freezing in ice cube trays then transferring to plastic bags is also a fab idea, just make sure they're dated in case they exceed 6 months in the freezer |

I use the mini glad containers. They hold 100ml really nicely. I rotate them in the freezer at I use them weekly they aren't going to 'expire'. I was dating them with stickers for a while which worked well as I could do several dates on one sticker.

I use the swisper bags - bought a few packs when they were on special. But I don't freeze EBM on a regular basis. If I was I reckon the mini glad tubs would be perfect!

At first i used the bottles we brought home from the NICU but after a while it was easier to freeze in ice trays and store in ziplock bags because then you could just get out the amount you needed for each feed.

I've just purchased glad bags for storing it in, I figured I could put it straight in them? Do you really need to do the icecube thing first? Last time I stored it in the bottles themselves but I plan to express far more this time, and don't have as much room in my freezer.
 (sorry to threadjack slightly!)

If you sterilise some glass baby food jars then the little ones easily hold 50ml and the tall ones hold 150ml!
And you'll get the warm fuzzies for recycling
