My DD has gone 4 days without a poo now, I know this is normal, and she is not upset or anything, but when the poo does arrive what should I expect? She is fully BF. Im guessing it wont be all liquidy like a NB poo, but just how thick will it be? Lol thanks |

It's still fairly liquidy and yellow. They do more solid poos when they go onto solids and colours change at that time too.
Babies fully bf can go up to 2wks without a poo! They absorb breastmilk so fast...

Yup what she said, also be prepared just in case it's a biggy! Lily kept 'farting' while we were in spotlight, well she wasn't farting she was pooing! And it went all the way up her top to her neck, up to her sleeves and down them, down her legs... Everywhere!! She hadn't gone for about a week.

At about that age my DD started only going once/week. Consistency of curry paste - a LOT of curry paste.

One of the times that our DD had her massive 7 day poo was during pant free time with my BF. She did a bit then stopped so he moved her away from it on the mat to clean her up but then she did a bit more so he moved her again. He did this about 5 times apparently. I was in the back room when I heard his cries for help. And there he was awkwardly holding a baby with pooy bum and feet (she'd wriggled into it) trying not to get it on himself but he couldn't put her down anywhere because there were patches of poo all over the mat. I had trouble helping him I was laughing so much.

Oh dear, when our daughter doesnt go in a day its poo from head to foot! As it is each poo you have to change in about 2 seconds flat before there is leakage. Hoenstly!

From about 3 months Aidens went from pooing daily, then went 5 days, then 7, then 10,....since then he has gone 17 days without a poo twice, but usually goes around once per 7-10days. There are never particularly huge either, not what u would expect after 17 days, lol, but thats cos shes absorbing all the bm, and bm doesnt have carbs to bulk out the poo. Hes been on solids for 3 weeks now, and his poo hasnt changed much yet, but the last 3 have been only 5 days apart each, which is more often than usual for him!

From about 6 weeks DD went once a week on a Thursday night between 6-8 lol. It was always MASSIVE and had the consistency of toothpaste Occaisionally she would only go every two weeks or so but never seemed bothered.
