Private is around 10k... Depends on what protocol you end doing ie how many days you need to have hormone injections, plus costs more if you need Icsi procedure too that's where they inject the sperm right into the egg.
I think you can have 2 public ivf cycles in NZ? I believe fertility associates website has a lot of info regarding public cycles, criteria and rules etc. Good luck! |

You can have two - but if the first round is successful then you don't qualify for a second round. Good Luck!

   Hi,
Just a piece of advise for your hsg, please take a support person. I didn't take anyone, because i wasn't scared about the pain or discomfort at all, and it wasn't too bad really anyway. But i didn't realise that they give you the results straight away... In my case this wasn't very good news, and i had a major melt down, all in front of this doctor that didn't really know what to do... If i had known that the results would be given straight away i would've taken my partner along. Now i had to walk out of hospital crying my eyes out trying to talk to him on the phone, not pleasant. So please take someone.

Im sorry to hear that Jenz, i dint relaise they can give you the results then and there. every test i have done so far has taken weeks sometimes months to get results! which is so frustrating, and i will defiantly be taking my partner with me cos i am a little nerves abot the whole thing.

I actually found the test itself not too bad, of course it's not nice laying there with your feet up and stuff, but the pain was not too bad for me. I hope the same for you! And I hope your results are better as well! Keep positive thoughts!
