   Have just introduced Ella to smoothies and she LOVES them- great for when she is being a bit fussy about eating and it is the one thing that she will sit absolutely still and drink. At the moment I have just been chucking in some plain and strawberry yoghurt with some orange juice and adding strawberries and bananas......but am looking for some more suggestions.    So....what is your favourite smoothie and milkshake recipe?    TIA |

   1 banana
2 kiwifruit
 handful of frozen mixed berries
 1 pottle fruit yoghurt
 crushed or fresh pineapple
 tinned peaches
 mango nectar
 
 Blend and it's ready! We chuck in any fruit we have lying around including tinned mango, fruit salad, lychee etc, it doesn't really matter, every smoothie tastes slightly different but all are yummy (this is the only way I can get DH to eat any fruit!)

   At the moment I have one every morning with trim milk, berry yoghurt and a banana. A favourite in our house is OJ, banana, kiwifruit & frozen tropical fruits (with or without a bit of yoghurt too). When I was at school I worked at an icecream store and we used to do a drink called a 'fruit whip' which was freshly squeezed fruit juice and frozen yoghurt blended together - so yummy!

   You can use coconut cream and icecream instead of yoghurt - yummy! If you find the coconut cream taste too strong, add a drop of vanilla essence.

   I freeze natural yoghurt pots and use them in smoothies...Yum!
 Also, I put some wheatgerm in with it all.  Im not sure why...I watched mum do it with her smoothies and she said it was good for you...so I put it in mine    |

   For most of my pregnancy I had the following every morning for breakfast:
 Base
 Natural yogurt with honey (can't remember the brand)
 Banana
 Porridge
 
 Add a mixture of the following
 Pineapple
 Kiwifruit

 2Tablespoon chocolate protein powder
 1T Instant Coffee (mixed with a little warm water
 2T Natural Yogurt
 1Cup Trim Milk
 
 soooo goood

   we have started doing these for the girls too.
 Ayja likes this one:
 
 1 scoop choc ice-cream,
 small sprinkle of choc chips,
 as much milk as you want
 banana yogurt
 1 - 2 bananas
 
 she loves her choco-nana shakes
 
 Paris likes them a bit different,  she likes strawberry and peaches
 
 1 cup milk,
 1 fruit-cup of peaches,
 1 scoop strawberry ice-cream
 1 pottle of strawberry fruit yogurt/1 strawberry frozen yogurt stick
 
 
 those are pretty fail-safe, basic ones that the girls tend to like. a good way of sneaking lots of fruit into them too.

   This is a great thread...I made DH a smoothie for breakfast this morning (he's always in a rush, so I thought this was the way for him to get a healthy start) and was looking for some ideas!    |

   thanks for the ideas- we will definitey be giving these all a go  . Ella every now and then gets a bit fussy about eating fruit, as I thought it was a great way of getting her to eat more fruit. I like the idea of adding a bit of ice-cream as well, might have to give that a go  |

   DH makes this one everyday before he goes to work and Michaela usually asks for a cup too.   6 scoops complan 2 weetbix 1 banana a couple of scoops of icecream 1/2 litre milk |
