   i have a 3 week old and a 9 yr old and the lder one is pretty damn bored lol, is there anything on in the next few days in akld that is worth mentioning? ive tried google but not found anything really. also does anyone know if holiday programmes do casual enrolments? id be willing to pay for him to go and do something along the lines of a programme but dont know where to start. any info would be appreciated    |

   have you checked your local library.  they usually run some sort of casual programme.  can he have a friend over for a play date? that might take the boredom away for a bit. oh and the local malls usually do stuff. up the road fro me they have a magicial all thi week and a ronald mcdonald show nd next week a marine magic show and they have face painting and plaster art too. only thing with malls is they get very busy.

   The YMCA usually have day-by-day programmes that you can just enrol in for the day.
 Otherwise, we love the zoo, and MOTAT is good for older kids (I'm sure your lil one won't be too fussed!), we also like Butterfly Creek and the Museum is good.

   MOTAT!! argh!! he loves that place, we have been soooo many times, and would prefer (well id prefer) to try something else lol. YMCA, thanks, ill look into that. i think hed enjoy a day of playing with other kids and doing cool things, im happy to pay for him to do that for the day.

   oh and i shld mention, he doesnt live with me full time, he doesnt even live IN akld so doesnt have friends as such, so no we cant have a friend over, plus i have a one bedroom flat and theres currently me, the bf, the baby and my son lol, YAY sardines!! hahahahaa

   No worries, Maya and the gremlins do gymnastics at our local one and I've seen the holiday programmes advertised.
