Never to put up a tent (that is borrowed) days before it's needed...and own cats..........because the day after it's been put up you'll find claw marks all over the canvas where they've climbed up!!...........thanks to my ingenuity I've managed to find a way to fix the holes lolz.
What lessons have you learnt this year??????

If you defrost the freezer in the garage, and clean it all out, and label everything neatly, make sure you SWITCH IT BACK ON
(if you do have to leave it switched off, make sure you are in labour when your DH finds out so he can't be mean to you)

A very recent lesson I learnt is if your child has just had something to eat, don't let them jump on the trampoline |

   Lol... all good life lessons!
I have learnt that if you suspect that your baby is full because they gag, you shouldn't "test" them by offering one more spoonful Seriously though, this year I have learnt EVERYTHING I know about babies, so it's been a bit of a learning curve really!!

I have learnt that teaching my daughter the word boobies was not a good idea. Especially when she rips your top town in the supermarket to show the guy behind me some "boobies".
I have learnt not to over commit myself
I have learnt to tell my MIL where to go when she bugs me instead of crying about it
I have learnt that DF will never put his clothes in a washing basket no matter how much I moan or how many washing baskets I put around the place
I have learnt to have lots of fun |

   I have learnt...
That it is possible to function on less sleep than you ever thought humanly possible, but not necessarily to function well.

That it's never a good idea to be outnumbered by children, or to have more children than you have hands.

That it doesn't matter how many kids you have, you will love them all equally for completely different reasons and in completely different ways.

 Patience. Well, almost!

hehehe .... actually I was wishing that I HAD put the tent up as a practice run prior to the evening it was required. I've learnt that its virtually impossible to keep your temper at bay when trying to put up a complicated tent for the first time while being attacked by a horde of starving sandflies . Had so much fun camping though - was the first time in about 10 years. Loved waking to the dawn chorus and hearing kiwi at night . |

I have learnt how hard it is to get pregnant, how hard it is for Single parent families, the importance of good family/friends & how good it is to have your family back together |
