We are having our first away from Hannah night in January. Have just finished making all the bookings! We are going to the A1GP in Taupo for a little while on the Saturday then heading to a nice (expensive  ) hotel in Rotorua, cos Taupo has been booked out for months. Then back to Taupo on Sunday for a day at the A1. Woo hoo! Am so looking forward to a nice weekend away - hope I dont worry about hannah the whole time.

Enjoy it, Aimee! Yeah, you will worry a bit, but then you'll get so distracted by everything around you you'll not realise how quickly time passes... and you can always call her at bedtime or something like that.

he he - the A1GP is international car racing. Kinda like forumla 1 but the cars are a bit different and not quite as fast. Probably sounds boring for most of you (watching cars go round and round!) but I went with the "if you can't beat em join em" theory, so know I like cars too!!

We're staying at the Novotel. Tried the Millenium (stayed there before and its lovely!) but they were fully booked, as were several other "nice" hotels. But thanks for the thought!

So jealous! so very very jealous. You BETTER not come back saying you missed hannah too much and didn't enjoy yourself. now becareful cause these "weekends away" often result in wee surprises nine months down the track...unless you want a wee surprise....

Wow sounds like a good weekend planned. I must ask though you said its your first eva night away from hannah, shes 2 right? Gosh I must be a bad mother I think my first with my daughter (the 2nd) she was 2 months old - we had a wedding to go to.

She's only just turned one Ann It will be our first overnight away, but may have a practice night before then, for my own peace of mind!
