I was just seeing friends off after dinner and noticed my neighbours across the road have just decorated their house with all their Christmas lights. It is still only October isn't it???? |

Did they just not take them down from last year?? We have some people down the road from us that leave a lot of lights up all year round. |

Wow, that must drag it out alot!! I found it bad enough last year that our playcentre started doing xmas stuff at the start of the 4th term.......it makes it take too long to come for the kids.

   That's nuts.
The mall I worked in (for 5 Christmases) seemed to start things up earlier and earlier ever year.
November 3rd, last year Sara, you're right - it really drags things out. I often find I'm over Christmas before it's even December.
Hopefully this year it'll be different since I'm not working |

Yeah the lights were on - maybe I should take a pic tonight to show you - I'm sure they wouldn't mind having a pic of their house plastered all over the net lol!! And Becks, no they must have only put them up last night as I can see them all hanging on the front deck in the daylight today and they weren't there yesterday. Imagine the power they must be go through until Xmas |

I wonder if there's a big birthday celebration or something that their preparing for (we decorated my mum and dads house with lights in Feb for dad's 60th) otherwise they're just weird!  I love Christmas and will find any excuse to decorate early (advent often starts in Nov and so we put up our decs then) but decorating in Oct is just wrong, it's a Christmas farce.

   OMG that is very early.
Most of us dread the stores showing christmas stuff everywhere 3 months before the event, but to have it right next door too wow.
I am just hoping my bub will be born early for xmas, wishful thinking. |
