Okay so tomorrow (or today if you are reading it on sunday) is moving day. i found us a clean , cheap rental close to the train for hubby and not too far to take the kids to school and kindy and so on... so sunday is the day.   i suck at packing! lots of our stuff is going into storage though so i wont have to unpack every thing and re pack it again later!
hubby is worried we wont have much help... and it looks like once again it will just be us and my family - minus mum this time though. she was always a good packer. i remember once she packed me up and moved me out of my flat in a couple of hours when she found i had no money and had been living on cheese and vegemite! and every time we moved she would remind me that the handles on my glory box are are only decorations and not to be used to carry it - so i better not forget that tomorrow either!

oh and we wont have to move the goldfish cause they died today - RIP little fishes! Not sure what happened there though. But i will have to move two cats this time...

I am a little bit sad... two of my kids were conceived in this house. my cat is buried under the tree in the front and i have nice memories of mum at xmas and new year a couple of years back. Six and a half years we have lived here and when we moved in Gabriel was one month old! My husband built the fence, re did the bathroom and painted the dining room and edens room...

I'm glad we are moving on, but sad.. She done us well my little house!

that was quite a novel i wrote, must have been a combination of the wine, lateness of the hour and the packing...

Have a happy moving day Deb! I hope it all goes smoothly for you.
When we moved into this place the lady moving out was in tears saying goodbye to it. They'd bought all 3 of their children home from the hospital to here and made a lot of beautiful family memories. I thought she was being a bit of a sap at the time as I always love moving in and starting somewhere new, but now that we're facing the same thing I know exactly where she was coming from.

Good luck with the move, I'm a bit useless atm which is why I haven't offered to help but hope others in the family have offered. If you need me to come out this afternoon or tonight with afternoon tea or fish and chips ring or text me.

Good luck with the move, we are moving on Thursday - and I am so not ready. Hope everything goes smoothly. I know how you feel, we have not been here so long but Lachie was 3 months when we got here and Tessa was born here, will be strange to leave.
