We've just moved back to the Waikato and now have to begin the tedious task of trying to find a new doctor (and I thought finding a new hairdresser was bad!)
Can anyone recommend their family doctor in Hamilton/Cambridge/Te Awamutu? Preferably someone who knows a bit about reflux, but that's not essential as long as they're not the "i don't know what it is but here's some antibiotics" type of doctor Ta in advance |

Hi, just sent you a PM about which Dr NOT to go to As for hairdressers, have you found one? I highly recommend Adeva in Cambridge. Excellent salon I see Emma.

101% recommend Dr Fairweather at the Hillcrest Medical Centre. She's been really great, she doesn't just assume the obvious and not look into anything else, and you can tell she really puts her patients first. People obviously know about her, too - my specialist at hospital was raving about her, and saying she was wasted as a GP |

haha Jax - thanks for the pm . Will definitely check out the hairdresser in Cambridge too! After three years in Whakatane I had only just found one I liked so gutted to be leaving... in fact i was considering going back there every few months just to get my hair done Thanks Hopes! That's the 2nd recommendation I've had for her so thinking she might be worth the drive (we're in Ohaupo)...

Haha at the going back to get your hair done It's not too much of a trip from Ohaupo to Hillcrest if you come the back way past the airport |

   Hi, welcome to Ohaupo!
I really like Dr, Louise Walker at Mahoe Street Medical centre in Te Awamutu.

Hairdresser, a friend of ours does hairdressing from her home in whatawhata (20mins or so from ohaupo), I'm not into flash hairdressing but I think she is probably very good, she worked at one of the best hairdressers in hamilton for years....

You are welcome at the Ohaupo playcentre, we start up next wednesday and are very cool!!

We live near ohaupo.... Give us a yell if you need a hand....

Ooh yes, I should have thought to recommend Priscilla, Rosie. She's really good, PM one of us if you want her details But I don't recommend you go to the Ohaupo playcentre, there's a couple of little scallywags you wouldn't want your children associating with that go there (j/k, they're awesome little boys).

Hi Rosieh - yep been on the phone to Playcentre and planning to head along, will probably just go to the Monday & Friday sessions though since I have Cian (who looks to be about the same age as your Daniel??) at Ohaupo Childcare on Wednesdays to give me a bit of one-on-one with Josh...
Thanks for the hairdresser recommendations too!
Hopes - if you're going the back way is that just past the airport/narrows etc and then onto the Cambridge road at the roundabout?

If it was a lot cheaper and simpler to get between the islands I'd go back and forth to Welly for my hairdresser too! |

Yep, that's right. I imagine it would only take about ten minutes - it takes me about 15-20 to get to Rosie's, and we live a little further away than the Drs, and she lives a little further away than Ohaupo, and I drive like a nana |

Sounds good about the ohaupo playcentre, we usually go on wednesdays and fridays (they have a teacher type lady come in on wedensdays to teach the older ones more), but next friday will be our first day (although I think playcentre starts on wednesday)...
