Any thing I can do to stop him?!?

He had four teeth now so grinds them together all the time. Surely it can't be good for them!?

DS did this for a while once he got top and bottom teeth, rest assured he has stopped it now. I think he was just feeling them out.
Hopefully your little one grows out of it soon too.

Yeah DD did it too, she stopped after a couple of weeks, she usually did it when she wasnt doing anything else so I just distracted her with something.

It's awful! DS has 6 teeth, and started this up a fortnight ago, but hasn't done it for the last 2 days so I'm hoping he's stopped now. I tried saying 'stop' everytime he did it but it didn't help at all |

Grinding of teeth - especially in sleep - can be a sign of worms - just worth a check
My girl did when she had about 10 teeth - so annoying!! she just stopped I guess, I hadnt given it much thought til you mentioned it, but she didnt have worms either

DS does in his sleep (no worms) and his teeth are really worn down. TBH I'm quite concerned about it but the dentist told me it's only a problem when his adult teeth come through.
I don't know how to stop him from doing something that he is doing completely subconsiously in his sleep.

Both of my kids went through the teeth grinding stage. It didn't take them long to grow out of it though. I hate it! My girl still does it occasionally.

We have a teeth grinder and tbh I grind my teeth too, unknowingly and in my sleep lol! I always stop myself when I realise. And when I notice DD I often try to distract her any way I can! Drives me batty though, worst noise ever imo!

Interestingly, my dentist mentioned that teeth grinding (night time version) has actually been found to be genetic! He was able to tell that I grind my teeth in my sleep too (which I already knew), and my mum and bro do too. I don't have worms! lol

Sally, I'd heard that too! My mum and grandma don't but apparently my great gran did (all same side of family) and it looks like DD and I do it too.

That's so interesting. I'm going to have to go inspect DH's teeth. I've never noticed hime grinding them but maybe he does in his sleep too.
