We took our little man to the pool today for his first swim at 11 weeks and he LOVED it! I was a little concerned that he'd be frightened with all the noise, or would get a chill, or a little accident - but he was wonderful.
I wish we'd gone earlier! How old was your baby or babies when they had their first swim?

I took Hannah swimming when she was about 12 weeks I think - she loved it. Went a few more times and would love to go back, but trying to get her dry skin/excema sorted first.

ahhhh jack is STILL waiting for his first swim which is kinda bad as we are only minutes away from QE2 park!
i'm trying to find something that i can wear in the pool so we can go really soon, but as all my boardies are too small now, it's a real problem |

Jake was....about eight months I think. But we had a really deep bath so he kinda "swam" from birth!
As for taine, he hasn't been inthe water. Maybe we'll take him after jake's swimming lesons on Saturday.

Yeah, I read that somewhere as well - but then I did some research. It used to be that they recommended you wait until they'd had all of their shots, but now it isn't such a problem because chlorine kills everything dangerous in the water. The only thing you need to watch is the heat of the pool, if it's too hot it could cause problems.
