I did with the first brand I took, can't remember the name of it sorry... am now taking APO Folic Acid (?? again my memory fails me completely ) and I don't feel nauseous with that one... but yeah, it can be a side effect.

Might go and chat to the chemist again then and try a different one. What about Elevit? What's so special about that one? I see it advertised everywhere but the chemist I go to stopped selling it quite some time ago so I never tried it.

I'm on elevit - its quite expensive, but I'm not taking any other vitamins and its got lots of good things for you for life in general!
I notice it when I don't take it - cos my iron levels are usually low and it has an iron supplement in it too - just makes it easier to take everything in one swallow!

I'd take Elevit but find I can't stomach the tablet when I'm pregnant - it's quite big.
I took APO folic acid tabs no probs - quite a small tablet too

Do you take the tablet with a meal? I found that one time I had a tablet without anything to eat first thing in the morning and that made me feel sick (with first pregnancy). I now always take my Elevit with my breakfast.

I'm taking the 5mg APO folic acid, prescribed by the doctor, it's 90 tiny pills for $3. My iron count etc is always really high, so there's no way I need to take an iron supplement so I don't need the elevit. I can't eat a lot of the natural foods with folic acid in them, therefore the higher dose for me.
