Hi ladies, I miscarried about 2 weeks ago, and am wondering when I might get my period back?
I dont have any idea about this sort of thing - its my first miscarriage.
OOooooo, and do they tend to go back to normal straight away - or be a bit odd???
 Thanks

After my m/c i think it took about 6 weeks to get my period back, and it was a heavy & painful period (tmi)
Its been 8 months since i miscarried & my periods still arent back to normal They are normally short cycles, although my last one was 30day cycle so they could finally be coming back to normal

All answers are correct here! It may come back exactly on time or it may be quite late. And then it may just be normal or it may include a bit of a clean-out, which can include some cramping and clots. Mine was about 3 wks late and was more painful than the (natural) m/c itself. Panadol/nurofen was enough though.

   Hi LuRo
I'm so sorry you're going through this.
My cycle was always 29 days, I got AF back 28 days after the D and C, and since then my cycle has been slightly shorter - about 26-28 days. My first 2 or 3 were lighter than usual and now they are back to their normal painful heavy selves
 xx

After my MC my AFs were wacko, I think the first one came back after 47 days, then 36, then the one we concieved on would have been 31.  I have a friend who has had 3 MCs and hers always returned 28 days after.. so its totally individual It was after my MC that I started charting... I wanted to know when AF was due (and glad I was charting as AF would have been 2 weeks late otherwise and I woul dhave been climbing the walls!) |

thank-you so much for your answers! Really helps! Its a funny thing when you miscarriage - your mind is not really there to ask the questions you need to when your at the Dr .... would be helpful if they had some kind of pamphlet to hand out which answers question.
Guess I have just got to wait and see.
 You guys are great! |

I agree LuRo I would have been lost before/during and after my M/C without this site!

Hi LuRo, I miscarried on the 9th of August. My first (and hopefully only) miscarriage too. Sorry you have to go through this as well. My sister had a m/c and her cycle went back to normal right away. Fingers crossed that happens
