I have seen it too and it greatly unsettled me as well, partially because I was a new mum at the time I saw it and still having a little paranoia! My friend loved it though and I must say that it is a good "mind ****" if you ever get the chance to sit down and watch it.

i watched it ages ago when it hadn't been out long on dvd...now i can't remember much about it as i'm old and have no memory....i must see it again, it was a good movie i remember that much

It is one of my favourite movies, but I love the ones that **** with your head. Bit like Momento and Pulp Fiction.
But I do have to admit that the scene with the dog was just awful and I had to leave the room briefly to avoid watching what happened.

It is a really good movie and Ashton does a reallly good job in it too. I would say see it, regardless of the dog scene, you can close your eyes for it

I thought the bit with the girl's Dad was worse  But I think I closed me eyes for the dog bit too. I really liked it- but it was like after watching Crash, left me feeling a little weird for a few days after.

oh iv seen crash!! (i think?? it was that) and yeah it was extremely weird and Dh and i didnt know what to say after it! we just looked at each other and said "what the *&%$!!"

As soon as I saw the end of Butterfly Effect I thought of Crash. They're both the sort of movies that you watch and think WTF is going on, then at the end it just goes "click" and then you go "whoah!"

I felt really awful after Crash- made me feel so hopeless. Like the world and people are just so horrible and awful- took me ages to get over it actually. My poor mother had to listen to me for days moping on about how the human race is so revolting etc...
Luckily I got over it
