Topic: Christmas Ham     Posted: 02 January 2010 at 11:36am |

Well, a week after christmas I'm well and truly over ham sandwiches, and we still have plenty left. We've had ham steaks on the bbq and I've put it in pasta.

Please, please share any ideas you have to help use it up - either lunch or dinner recipes.

Ham, relish and cheese, or ham cheese and pineapple toaties, so yum! We just gonna have ham and salad sandwhiches today.

Pea and ham soup is so yum, but wrong time of the year,...well it is far too hot here anyway,...maybe u could freeze it tho!

I know u can freeze some of the ham too.

 ETA- PIZZA!!!

On pizza, macaroni cheese, potato salad, in pumpkin soup, in toasted sandwiches, savoury muffins...

Freeze some for later?
 Or send it to me

Blend up a bit of ham with some cannellini beans or canned butter beans. Mix in some dijon mustard and some herbs. Shape into patties, crumb and fry      Kind of like fish cakes, but with ham.

This is probably far too late but we used up left over ham while camping with a receipe from the NZ Herald or Dominion?

 Cube ham
 Pineapple pieces
 Onion
 Cooked potato

Fried all ingredients on the BBQ and served with a dressing of maple syrup and lemon juice.

 Was divine!
