Yesterday I started TT Zac and he only did 3 little wees all day and his nappy after his nap was dry. Then that night he threw up three times. This morning he said he was feeling better and has eaten a little bit and drank one bottle of water. Just before I put him to bed he had a high temp so I gave him some pamol. I've just checked on him and his top half was soaking wet so I've changed him and taken his temp and it is normal - should I be taking him to an emergency Dr tonight?

First time was 38 and now it's 37. His nappies today have been pretty dry as well.

The pamol will probably do it's thing for the next few hours, you need to keep him hydrated though. Maybe get him to drink when you go to bed and/or give him pamol.

DH is at work and won't be back till late but my MIL and SIL are staying but are out so might re-evaluate when they get home. I've got DH to bring home some lemonade ice-blocks and I've opened a can of lemonade so that it goes flat (as I think that's what you're supposed to do)?.

I'll keep trying with the water. No doubt Samara will wake soon as she's got an ear and throat infection!

Thanks for your replies.

Sounds like he'll improve in time, it's good to see the fever down. You could pour some lemonade out and add some water, that would be like a "quick flattening". It sounds like his body is flushing something through so just watch the fluid intake, lots of nappy changes, and skip the TT for another couple of days (or so)

Well he woke up feeling fine and asked for breakfast straight away. I have kept making him drink water all day. Tried to get a Dr's appt and they were full so I am definitely going to change Dr's now. I know they have a rule that if a child needs an appt they are supposed to make time for them. All was going well until we were dancing too the Hot Dog song on Disney Channel and he threw up all over the couch with the jumping. He had some dinner then did a big wet fart and when DH changed him it all ran out onto the change table...gross! Glad it was him!!! No temperature today though so will see how he is tomorrow.
