I have only been trying for a month but I think the most common response would be to relax and don't worry about it. It seems to be this is when most people do fall pregnant. A friend of mine is a prime example of this, she is now 8 weeks pregnant, and she had been trying for a year. This month was to be their first fertility appt, because they knew it was coming up the weren't so worried about "trying" to conceive.

Hey *waves* I'm the said friend SB mentioned.

She's right it took us a year, true do also have a minor fertility problem but still, it really did seem to fall into place once we'd been on holiday and come back, we were relaxed, expecting to go to the fertility specialist so weren't really thinking about it and boom...here we are.
But I also understand it is the hardest thing in the world to relax! I believe most people normally take between 6 months to a year.
Good luck and have fun trying in the meantime!

Friends of mine are trying, unfortunately with no luck as yet. they've been trying for two or three years now I think, have had some appointments but it seems tehy are a couple with no medical problems at all. So the next step for them is IVF. She told me that everyone has been telling her just to "forget about it and relax" and if she hears it one more time she'll scream. Hopefully everything will turn out well for them. so you are by no means the only one trying! Hope th results are good!!!

We conceived Maya without even trying (or planning lol!) but it took us 11 months to conceive the baby we lost in January. Some of those months I was away in Sydney so we weren't able to do the right things at the right time, but I still got really stressed about it all.

We are TTC again now and I had the blood tests done on CD 3 this cycle, and due to have another lot on CD18 but so far the results all look good. I found a great website that helps interpret the results here
Good luck!

   hey there,

Me and my husband had been trying for a year and a half, and I finally fell pregnant in December. I think everyone is right in that you relly need to not think about it (really hard I know!) I had my tarrot cards read in November ( I was getting to the stage where I just wanted to know if we would ever have children!) and she told me there wouldn't be children for a least 10 months, so I assumed I would fall pregnant in 10 months and so gave up on trying for a while and we were going to book in to get checks by the doctor in Jan. Anyway I think as I had stopped trying thats when it happened. The same thing also happened to a friend of mine who had been trying for 2 1/2 years, they stopped trying as she fianlly concieved.

let us know how you go!

Hi Louise, i have not had any problems getting pregnant but i have friends that did, they gave up in the end because it just wasn't happening and within a couple of months of not actually trying they were pregnant.
Also my midwife (who had problems getting pregnant) told me that when she was trying to get pregnant with her second her doctor told her to take vitamin E capsules 1000mg's once a day till you are pregnant. She told me about them and i tryed them and got pregnant with twins, she had also told 2 other women about the capsules and they also got pregnant with twins so maybe that might be worth giving ago.
Good Luck and hope it happens soon for you and your husband.

I guess you already know to time your bedroom activities around when you ovulate? And you know how to tell when you're ovulating?
(I just read a book about it all this weekend so it's all fresh in my head at the moment!)
