Topic: Soft poop? (TMI)     Posted: 08 November 2009 at 9:22pm |

I am interested to know what is " normal" in the poo department. DS has (ever since he started solids) always had soft poo, very occasionally (like maybe once a week), we will get a more solid poo, but his regular (twice a day) nappies are very soft bordering on runny (sorry TMI). He eats a lot of fruit - pretty much with every meal, which he loves, so could it just be that?

More than likely if it's only started happening since you've introduced more fruit.

E has always been like that too... exactly the same.. mostly very soft and occasionally more solid.. so for E it's normal.. so he has just gotten even softer?

It's pretty normal for us too, Sam more often than not has soft poos bordering on runny which to be honest were really difficult to change, especially at the beginning of this pregnancy.
I don't think it matters what Sam eats, he just has soft poos regardless, although on the odd occasion, like at least 1-2 times a week we'll get a solid one

   Hehe thanks for asking Sam!!

We have the same thing here, and I have always wondered whether it is normal - but he eats a good variety, lots of fruit so that is what we put it down too. We might get a solid poo once a week/fortnight, but sometimes get lucky if you change him straight after - before he has sat down etc...

Same here too, maybe once a week I get a solid one. I was reading up on TT'ing and it mentioned that it's a good time to start when the poo's get more solid (amoungst other signs) as they 'know' about what's happening more down there.
