 Topic: Curse of the partners name in tattoo

Ok so everyone is telling me that getting your partners name tattooed on you is a curse and you eventually end up seperating!!!!! and unfortunately everyone i know that has done this has ended in the curse!!!   .....so anyway DH went to get Astins name tattooed on his arm with Bays name (he got Bays done the day Bay was born) and he got my name tattooed on at the same time as a supprise and now everytime he shows someone they remind him of the curse!!!  its driving me nutts!!!
SO does anyone know of anyone who has done this and still happily together or has anyone done this themselves??????
Any stories much appreciated

Ummmm, nope sorry, but Willie does have Vickey tattooed on his hand, and Vickey isn't the mother of any of his kids, in fact, I'm not sure he even remembers who she is coz he sure ain't telling me!

Oh but my boss, Angela's, DH has her name tattooed on his ring finger under his wedding band and they're still very happily married. I thought it was a really sweet thing to do.

A couple I know got each other's names tattooed on their arms as a wedding anniversary gift. They are still very happily married like 10 years on!
BTW, what a sweet thing for your hubby to do!

Well i know a "twit" that has gotten her DF's name tattooed onto her arm . The thing is they have only known each other about 6 months he still isn't divorced yet and she is already using his surname with things.

LOL Willie and I have been together (on and off) 8 years and have 3 kids who have his name yet I still threw a hissy fit at the hospital for putting my name down as Emma Davis!

I dont know anyone that would do that.
Oh wait. My nan got my poppas name tattoo'd on her arm when she was 18 and they were together till he died in '91. Soo, thats like.. a long time. lol. I think my nan is in her late 70's!
Personally i wouldnt do it i think its silly. Each to their own though i guess.

Its funny though cos this morning i threw a patty at him for no reason!! so he pointed to the tattoo and said "oh oh oh its the curse dont let the tattoo get inbetween us!" just to be a smart ass!!!

My DF's mum and dad have each others name tattooed on them and they have just celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary.
I think its crap!!!

My husband recently got Charlotte up his arm and at the same time, got a G across his heart for me - I found it really sweet and am 100% sure of his committment to me forever. Take it as a good thing (and think positive thoughts not bad ones!)

My DH and I got a matching tattoo just before we got married. It is a symbol special to us in the same place on our bodies  (ankles )
We were too young and madly in love.
We are still together (8 Years) - fingers crossed for the future!
I did ask him to get my name (jokingly) and he said no, incase wife no.2 (Miss new boobs) doesn't like it....
