Sit your restricted licence I am really worried about it and my DH is super human so no he no help he got his after only 4 driving leason's in total. I know I can drive and pretty well, but the idea of going in the car with a stranger makes me break out into a sweat. I really want my licence more then anything, but so scared to actually sit it.

Um I found quite easy. It did help that I was 8 months pregnant and made the tester feel sorry for me.
Just concentrate on what you have do.

it was a lot easier than i thought it would be. i put it off and put it off for months, and then passed easily and wondered why I had taken so long. I was/am a very nervous driver, so believe me, if I can get my licence, so can you (i neded about 20 lessons before I passed mine!)

I was totally nervous as well, got stuck at a roundabout because I couldn't "find" a gap to get into, and couldn't stop humming the new song I heard on the radio that morning ROFL!!! And still got it If it makes you feel more comfortable, go for a single driving lesson before hand (with a 'professional' instructor) because they can put you through a mock test as such then give you tips.

I found it quite easy too. Maybe you can get a woman to sit with you if you are not comfortable with a man?

Yegads....I think it was too long ago for me to remember! I passed mine first go though...it was pretty sweet.
At the time there used to be a rule of thumb that if your street driving was sweet you tended not to be asked to do so much stuff like 3 points turns, backing around a corner etc.
I was asked near the end of the route to do a hill start so I had a pretty good idea that I had probably passed.

I would totally recommend going to an instructor beforehand. Mine gave me lots of tips and it may help you get used to driving with a stranger in the car. He picked me up an hour before the test and took me on the route the testers take you- until I was really comfortable with it. Then I used his car to sit the test in, it meant I was used to driving it by that point and far more comfortable than going in cold.

Its fine- I was 16 when I got mine and found it easy peasy

Yeah at least the one professional lesson beforehand really helps.  But seriously, it's no biggie - they're used to nervous people, and it's not like you fail for stalling the car, which is what's most likely to happen if you're a bundle of nerves.  The cop testing me (though this was a fair while ago now) got me to pull someone else up during my test for not wearing his seatbelt - was pretty funny!
