   Hey Ladies,
Last night I decided to ring my midwife because I was getting ongoing pain in my cervix (vagina area) like pressure pain. It was a bearable pain but went on all day and I also got a lot more discharge than usual. Very watery. Sorry ladies but Im trying to describe it without getting too personal. hehe. She said if my tummy was hard , which it wasnt and was in alot of pain then it could be labour, then she told me it was pretty normal at 16 weeks to get some pain in that area Stretching) and the discharge is normal at this stage. I am also in the middle of moving so moving around alot can make this happen too. She said if it was a 16 week miscarriage I would have bleeding first before pain. So she didnt seem too concerned once we ruled out these. Pain not so bad today so I think Im ok. Might go into midwives on Monday if still concerned and check to see if baby ok. I just gotta take it easy.

I think with pregnancy and birth you can never get too "personal", besides, that's what we're all here for !! I found if I overdid it with anything resembling exercise, my pelvis would get extra-sore and it would be hard to walk for a while after, and even just sitting down was uncomfortable. Ask your midwife about SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction), I put up a link to a good webpage with info on that elsewhere in this forum I think... and Emma had it pretty badly with Maya as far as I can recall.

With the mucuous, (and I do *hate* to use this word) but it's pretty normal for you to produce a lot more than you're used to, it's just part and parcel of pregnancy. I sometimes change my underwear twice a day because of that, so things don't wind up getting too smelly or sticky
Anyway, do take it as easy as possible, and let us know how things go !! And I second what Lu has said as well, that's what your midwife is for - to support you and answer your questions.

Aww i hope your feeling better, i found i had really really bad lower pain the other day like Ella was sitting in a wierd position but i sat on the swiss ball for awhile and it made her move and i felt ALOT better. Maybe you should give that a go aswell? I also find i get sore when im tired to lol

The discharge yep i have that to lol i think its just a part of pregnancy, i to rely on pantyliners
If you want to do some form of exercise i recommend swimming i do aqua jogging and its really fun and not intense

   Yep, gotta love those pantyliners!

You're probably a bit early on to get SPD, it is usually a third trimester thing. I got it around 24 weeks, and the physio told me that was pretty early for it to start. But your midwife will be able to give you some info on SPD and a referral to a physio if that's what it is.
Otherwise, I reckon just take it easy. I had all sorts of random pains, niggles, stitches, cramps etc. when I was preg with Maya, and seems to be again this time (although I think right atm it is a constipation thing... ) and it was all normal.
If your midwife is worried about the discharge there is a really simple test they can do with a special swab thingie that changes color if it is amniotic fluid that is leaking.

thnx ladies. I have only had the pain now and again , not ongoing like it was. I think it might have to do with constipation cos when I think about it I get that pain in the vagina area when I am constipated.
I hate constipation. It gives me allsorts of pains.
Im great today
