Topic: Poo and Solids Question     Posted: 29 June 2007 at 7:00pm |

Josh is finally on the solids, one meal a day in the evening when we have dinner (he is having baby rice). Should his poo change? He is a once every few days boy, but I thought once on solids it would change.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

He will start to be a bit more solid but as for colour, Kryssi's remains the same and she's having about 2 tins of baby food a day.

Before we started solids Noah was the same as Josh - once every few days. After starting solids, he didn't go for quite a while - maybe a week - and now he has a little poo about three times a day and it is quite solid. Same colour as before though.

mmm I forgot to mention that it gets stored up for a bit longer at a time. I guess it's like mini-constipation LOL

I would say it won't change too much on baby rice just 'maybe' a bit thicker (althuogh I don't think Rhyleys did) but then when they get onto 'proper' solids - the smell will def change LOL

Omgosh tell me about it!!. When Kahtrell first started on solids his poos were just a little thicker, same colour and smell. But now!!! Once his nappy comes of he can stink the room out lmfaOo . He's having tin food three times a day, and I'm still breast feeding. His poos are now a bit darker, and a lot thicker, he did have a little bout of constipation the other week so I'm glad thats cleared up!. But yea sometimes it a couple days before he poos, and then sometimes every nappy change has a poo in it lolz. Don't worry, I don't think it would change much by being a baby rice once a day.
