Ok girls I am keen to try the Temping and OPK thing but have so many questions about it all. First

 * Which Thermometer is best to buy? (found some on trademe for $18.00) - do they come with instruction on how to read when you are Ovulating?
 * What are OPK's? Where is the cheapest to buy? How do you use them?

I am on my 5th cycle of clomid and apparantly I did O this month but I couldn't tell using my Saliva thingy....It just looked the same every day. I have never temped before so am willing to try and see if that helps things....

   Hi Kobec,
I got my BBT thermometer from trade me, it was great!   Most of them come with pretty good instructions.  I think there is a thread somewhere with all the info on charting?  Full of heaps of info, Ill see if I can find it for you.  I have never used OPKs but hopefully somewone will have some feedback for you.  Good luck!

if you want a good way to record your chart then try fertility friend (it's a website which is often referred to as FF), there is alot of info on there about charting as well

also there is a thread where we share our charts and offer each other support and advice

 good luck!!!

Nope, its free to use although if you want an upgraded VIP version (with lots of nice colours and extra info) you can pay. I think I got to to trial the VIP version for a month when I first signed up...give it a go anyway The basic version works fine though!

   Hi there,

I have been trying for 3 years now and use Baby4you on trademe and through her own website. I have bought a BBT themometer, a maybe baby saliva tester and 6months worth of OPK tests. They deliver really quickly and the products are great.
I have recently managed to concieve twice since june this year only after using the OPK.
Baby4you send the charts and instructions and thourough Q & A pamphlets + each package comes with baby dust, a neat touch.
Hope this helps, I was the same as you 3 years ago and am now an old hand.

Hey Tryin4No2 - I got my BBT from Baby4you off trademe as well. It arrived on friday so have used it for the last 2 days althought my temps have varied already. Saturday was 36.37 and today (sunday) was 35.99. Is that normal? I thought it stayed the same untill Ovulation?   I also have a saliva tester like the Maybebaby ones but a cheaper version but found it hard to use over the last couple of months but will keep at it.    All the best for your TTC...

kobec, my temps where a bit scatty all the way through. Have a look in the charts thread, you will be able to open up other peoples charts so you can see how everyone varies. Once you have a done a couple of months you will see your pattern!
