Are they removable? I take Sam's off give them a good scrub in a sink of hot soapy water and then put them out in the sun to dry.

The same way you clean seatbelt straps. When possible, use steam, or one of those heavy duty vacuum cleaners. OR A nail brush to get the worst of it off, wet as well as possible, scrub again, spray with hot water to rinse (cover chair with towels) and squeeze dry with a towel.

Not removable. I have thought of taking the chair apart but them I am scared I wont be able to get it back together, its a mothers choice basc one.
Gosh they are such a pain, you'd think they would make it possible to clean them because you know they are bound to get dirty.
Ours are just so slimey and the more I try to wipe it off with water the worse it seems to get., Keiras old one ended up going mouldy and I really dont want that tp happen again

I've heard of people getting a bucket of napisan or something and sitting it on the seat of the highchair and soaking as much of the straps that will reach into the water, worth a shot anyway?

Loosen the straps and get as much of them as you can into an icecream container with napisan and water in it... doesn't get to the ends but you can wipe that (over and over and over) with a cloth of the same stuff.... if you have time like that But then, if you have time like that, you can come visit my place!

I just used a scrubbing brush and a spray bottle with really hot water in it, and a bit of detergent.

Ours is a mothers choice one as well (with dinosaurs) and i figured once it was apart if i couldnt get it back together id make dp do it but it was really easy (after i realised i needed a tool to hold the nut still while i unscrewed the screw )
They were dirty for a year before i finally got off my ass and did it the other weekend tho

Oh dear you're reminding me of a chore I need to do. Ours have to be unscrewed but they don't affect the highchair construction luckily.
