Hopefully someone can help because its driving me crazy!

When we fast forward or rewind a programme the picture on the screen stays the same, before it would show where you were up to so you would know where the adds stop

Anyone know how to fix it or is it something that sky has changed?

you may need to reset your sky box... I would ring sky, they are usually pretty good at technical things

I've just been fast forwarding etc and ours is the same as usual, no static image.

Maybe the box has a fault or something?! Very weird and annoying, I hope you get it fixed soon!

I would try turning off at the wall for a minute or so then see if it still does it.

Just be aware that if its not fixed by reseting the box, then Sky will prob just replace the box, so you will lose any programs you have recorded. This has happened to us 3 times with different problems, and its hugely frustrating and devasting for O who loses all his faves that he has recorded. Good Luck - I hope it sorts itself out.

that does sound weird, did you manage to get it fixed?  MummyFreckle we have had to replace ours before too and it was really annoying to lose all the stuff we had saved!

We have that happen every now and then, it normally comes right by itself after a while.

Oh and I agree on the replacement box debacle! I got into a big argument with Sky over that when ours broke. They argued that it's a "recording" device not a "storage" device. Crazy stuff, we were about 90% full and lost everything! I thought they would at least knock a bit off our monthly bill or something for the inconvenience.

Ours does this, it is a fault in the box and it will need replacing. I am just trying to watch all of the stuff that we have recorded before getting the replacement.

If anyone has any troubles there is a reset button on the front of the box to the right, you need to pull the cover open and hold the button down till it does something then it takes about 5mins to boot back up.

I had to reset ours recently when it decided that the only thing you could do was change channel and volume on the remote and couldn't do anything on the box itself.
