   Hi,

I am completely new at this so don't entirely know where to start. I have been reading messages on these boards for a while and am really impressed with how much support everyone gives.
I'm 27, my dh and I have been married nearly 4 years and we have been ttc for just over 6 months.
The first couple of months, total suprise that you don't just get pregnant, have been sort of charting since but I keep forgetting parts of it.
Has anyone got any tips or advice on the do's and don'ts. Current trying maybe baby, first months of trying opk's (but been doing it first thing in the morning, which I now know isn't ideal) so still struggling to find out when the magical ovulation day is.
Any ideas of help would be great

Thanks, I really have my fingers crossed for this month, been using the OPK kits, not entirely sure I read them right but at least it feels like we are making a more informed go at it, if you know what I mean.

Have you tried using www.fertilityfriend.com ? You can use it for free or pay about NZ$20 for 90 days of the deluxe version (which, for my money, is worth it). They have really good resources and make charting incredibly easy. Also, once all your info is in the charts then it's a piece of cake to print it out and show the doctor, if you need to see one.

Best of luck for this month!

   Hi,

Yep joined fertility friend this month, so started charting properly this month.

What is the difference between a hpt and a opk?

   Hi,

Cool well that explains that one.

This month is my first month using opk's, I had thought that I was doing ok with these, thought I had two positive days, but the lines were not really darker, and now i know I should be testing in the evening not sure i may have got that wrong completely.

Have ny of you had other physical signs that might be signs of ov?

Try reading this Sticky - Some women also get cramps when they're OVing, but not all.

I have had some cramping the last day or two and generally feel really off colour.

i guess its a bit of a waiting game from here.
