Okay so I have a couple of weddings to go to next month so guess it's time to break out the dresses! I haven't worn a dress since before pregnancy so I have a few more lumps and bumps than previously Can anyone recommended a good brand of slimming underwear!?? My tummy and muffin tops are my main areas of concern

There is a range at the Warehouse called Hold Me Tight which is really good!!! There's a whole lot of different styles depending on the area you want to focus on. Otherwise, the Trinny and Susannah undies are AWESOME (but with a price tag to match.....)!!!

Going by experience, don't get high waisted corrective underwear as your curves can pop out the top and it can roll down. I bought a Nancy Ganz bike pants thing with really high waist and bike pants. It wasn't cheap either. The bike pants cut into my thighs in an unbecoming way and I had a muffin top just under my bra! It looked good in the shop (or I was delirious!) but not at home. It does hold everything in nicely but I reckon what goes in needs to come out somewhere else.

I have a long singlet thing from the Bendon Outlet store which is good for with jeans but the straps aren't very thin, depending on what style your dress is. Can't remember brand sorry but it was about $25.

i have a pair i got from Undercover Wear - they are a party plan type thing...   anyway they come up to right under my bra and leave a really smooth line... so i would suggest something that covers up to there.

I brought a pair of these for my friend's wedding last weekend where I was Maid of Honour.
They were great, didn't roll or anything.. was absolutely stoked! Couldn't tell I was wearing them at all.

the warehouse ones have straps so they dont roll down (kinda like an underbust leotard) but i cant remember if the ones with legs had straps or not? but they looked like they came to the knee, not above the knee, meaning no squishing out the bottom?

They vary actually - some have straps, some don't, you can get some that have straps and underwire cups (for your boobs) that go down to the knee in either a skirt or like short types, you can get corset kind of things that just go round your waist area (I have one of these) and keep things trim, you can get just the shorts style....it's best to go down and have a look. They should have their own stand in the lingerie section of your local store

I have one from farmers, its a skirt and sits up tight under my bra (so no muffins there) and then makes a smooth line right down, it stops short enough so I can wear a mini skirt/short dress with it, but is also long enough that I don't have any bulges. LOVE it, worn it so many times, means ya have no underwear lines either :D

When I got married (and was pg) .. I got some from the bra and knicker shop (the one you find in malls) .. they were high waisted stretchy things (not too tight as I didnt want to squish the in utero Issy), but they worked a treat under the wedding dress.

Completely random question, just wondering those that have them, how they have found the slimming underwear and toileting. The reason I ask is I wanted to buy some 'suck it all in underwear' for when I got married but the lingerie shop said they would not recommend them as they have had too many people, especially brides in big dresses, have 'wee' accidents when wearing them. Since hearing that, it has scared me off buying some. Are they really that hard to get up and down?

This may be a tad off topic, but you can actually get crotchless ones. I only know this because when I had surgery on my abdominal area .. they gave me some to wear post operatively to hold everything securely. They had bike pants type legs .. and the top went to just below the bust (so I did actually look very slim lol) .. but anyhoo, they were crotchless so you could do number ones without taking them off.

I used to wear them a lot and although they are tight never had issues when toileting. I can't see how you'd wee yourself...

I think they'd have to be wearing them pretty damn tight to not be able to get them off to go to the toilet... I never had any problem going to the toilet when wearing them...

I had Trinny & Susannah ones for my wedding (bust to mid thigh) and actually, it was so hot (Rarotonga) that I didn't need to go to the toilet at all! But, if I had've needed too it would have been a bit of a mission to get the top part down as my dress was laced up at the back. Probably just a few minutes wiggling but I wouldn't have been able to get them back up again! Depends on the style of your dress - you might be able to get away with just pants/bottom half version.
The ones at the Warehouse look good, and way cheaper than T&S
