     Topic: Brolly sheets...anything cheaper?     Posted: 19 February 2012 at 7:53pm |

I need a couple of brolly sheets for my recently toilet trained DS's bed. He sometimes has accidents at nap time and his night time nappy leaks sometimes too.

I was wondering if there was anything similar to the brolly sheet but cheaper? Im not sure I want to pay $45 each one for a king single size, including postage its nearly $100 for 2!
What I really like about the brolly sheet is that you can just take it off & replace it easily without having to strip the whole bed each time.
I'd appreciate any advice on cheaper brands you may have tried that work just as well?
 Thanks.
Just in case you don't know what I mean... Brolly sheets

Yes, warehouse has a sheet with plastic for $19 or something like that, or you can go to somewhere like payless plastics and get hospital sheeting. Which is the cheapest I've seen.

The plastic sheets at the warehouse are a cheap short term solution. Brolly Sheets are better quality not so plastic looking too, also you can get value packs which give you a discount. I would recommend buying the Brolly Sheets but up to you.

I grabbed some vinyl mac fabric from spotlight. (prob around $10 a single bed size)

I then made up the bed twice... vinyl, cotton sheet, vinyl, cotton sheet.

In middle of night all I had to do was whip off the top two layers, dry down child, and go back to sleep :-)

The warehouse terry ones are good, but I dont think they are up to being washed every day. You certainly get what you pay for, and I found my solution to be very cheap and effective.

Big cheap shower curtains do a great job. They tuck under really well. Just strip the bed and wipe the plastic sheet.

Hey, I just brought 2 from the warehouse for around $20 from memory - exactly the same thing as a Brolly sheet with the tuck in sides, they are great so far and have washed well - great for the price!

Or look on the Sleep Store - they have something similar on special at the moment.
