Im trying to be organised better at bedtime now , so I fed C at 5:30 , bath at 6 , we played from 6:30 till 7 , stories and bed and she was SUPPOSED to be asleep (this was the "plan " at 7:30 .

What do you know , everything went swimmingly , until it came to the actual going to sleep part .
She is STILL awake , and she just handed me a letter saying "dear mummy , I hoep you are hapy for makeing me go to bed now . I love you even thogh I am angrry at you .
 from Caitlyn xoxoxox ."
As I can not drink atm , anyone else want to have a glass of wine for me ? cheers

love it!!!!! I have a friend who has a daughter that writes her notes when they have had a fight....usually they get slipped out under her bedroom door with an apology.  She used to bring them to work for us to read.

KEEP THE NOTE!!!!!!!  and smile

haha , I was tempted to write back "your highness, knowing that you still love me even though i have caused you great offence makes my heart full, please forgive me "
Buuuuuutttt i couldn't be bothered , so just said , with as straight a face as I could muster (not easy i tell you ) "thankyou Caitlyn , thats a very nice letter "

Then laughed once she left the room .....

I can commiserate. Miss Five went to bed at 7pm, I went out to a meeting, came home at 9pm and she called out to me. I went in and said "I'm not interested in talking to you till the morning". She said "Mummy, I'm practising a song to sing to you on your birthday."

I didn't know whether to growl or hug her so I did both.

i've had 3 for you
got both my brats in bed by 7.30 only to have them both still awake at 9pm! charli had pulled all her clothes out of the drawers and thrown things everywhere...so that's a lovely mess to clean up tomorrow
jack had pulled all his cars out and spread them over the floor, so i'll probably trip over them when i go check on him shortly
ahhhhh kids

Must be something in the air. McKayla wasnt even asleep yet at 10 with me sitting at the door the whole time. Eventually I was so tired and told her to come sleep on her sleeper couch in our bed so I can at least get some sleep.

haha , those "hug or growl" moments
When C was 2 she ran out in the rain , and I told her off , she looks at me with this forlorn expression and says "I ...I ..I just love you too much mum "
argh! how can I tell that off ?!

ooooh yes - we get that too. usually if she gets sent to her room we hear footsteps running up the hall, we get her mega-sketcher shoved around the hallway door and footsteps back up to her room. it usually has a big sad grumpy face with tears on it and things like "i love you mummy and daddy" written on it.    Usually gets a reply written back saying "we love you too but your behaviour is not ok." doesn't get the response she wants usually.
