I am looking for part time daycare in wellington city or Mt cook for my son to start in June/July. He will be 8-9months this time.
We need day care within walking distance as DH will be dropping him off and I will have the care as I will start walk at 7am, so it needs to be in wellington city (Te Aro/Courtenay Place end) or Mt Cook to city-end of Newtown.
Does anyone know of a good daycare in these areas?
I am also considering PORSE/Barnados.

Elim International Kids behind Courtney place are excellent. Fay has been there for nearly 2 years and is sooo happy there. They open at 8.

I can't remember if they take under 1s but worth getting on their list if you wanted to.
The cntre is behind the Cambridge Hotel in the side street

Thanks. Unfortunately I need to go back before hes one (my leave finishes before then) so I need somewhere that will take him before then.

I liked the look of ELIM kids and its perfect location for us as its bout a minute walk from DHs work, and opposite where we lived a few months ago. Might try them for next year.

We did Porse for the first year and after 1 disaster we found the perfect carer, she is no longer in the area else I would send you her details. Elim does have a wait list so I would get him on that now, you can always say no nearer the time. From memory we were offered a few carers in the Mt Cook Newtown area. Take time in choosing and try and visit them when they have the kids around so you can judge the environment
