Topic: Its all too much     Posted: 18 January 2010 at 3:42pm |

I have just started trialling cloths during the day and I'm really liking them but I find it so damn confusing. There are just too many out there. I'm a girl who doesn't cope well with too many options.

I bought some baby first ones and quite like those. I also have some hunnychilds that a friend lent me to try but find they don't really fit him well. He's a small child.

I like the idea of aio and what ever the baby first ones are. Can you give me some names of some that are the same type. I'm still using sposies during the night.

Also, is there a store or someone where they come to you and explain it all to you. I really can't be bothered with a trial set.

Try www.snazzipants.co.nz they have a store somewhere in AK where you could pop in and have a look at various types and get someone to explain it all while looking at the types

Scamps Boutique is located in Waiuku. I can also offer phone support.
You might want to check out Cloth Nappy Love for all you need to know about using cloth.
Feel free to contact me if you want, I'm happy to help :)

We love Itti's for skinny kids.

Am using a Baby Harmony pocket at night but don't think that you can get these anymore?

Yeah I've already looked at those places. Was wondering if there was someone that comes to your own home with samples and so on. Might just go and get some more baby first ones.

Honeychild agents do .. but then they would only bring honeychild nappies.
We arranged a meetup once where everybody bought along different types of nappies so that we could all have a look at the different options without outlaying any money .. you could always try arranging that.

There are people that come to you, but mostly they are agents for a particular brand. The Nappy Network has demo kits but AFAIK they are generally used for antenatal classes etc. If you can hold out until Real Nappy Week then there will be a cloth nappy expo with demo kits and various retailers etc. For properly educating yourself you might just have to leave the house, sorry! Louise's site is great too
If the Baby First ones work for Harper that's great - they don't work for everybody - so if you like them do get some more because they're cheaper than most of your other options. They are kinda like a contour or prefold and cover, or at a stretch an "all in two", if you're looking around at various sites.
 Some AIOs:
Snazzipants (look further down that page at Berry Plush all-in-twos too)
Itti Bitti D'Lish All In Ones
Cushie Tushies
Karma Kidz
Contours (note these still need you to buy a wrap or cover separately):
 Imse Vimse
All in Twos:
 Berry Plush as above
Itti Bitti D'Lish Snap In Ones
Close Parent
Little Buttons
This is not an exhaustive list by any means, just a selection, but might explain why nobody has given you a definitive answer - there is just so much out there (just like clothing brands I suppose). What works for one family may not work for yours and what works for your family may not work for others. Really the only way of finding out is to try them - sorry! Nobody can tell you "here, these ones will work"
