Topic: What new nappies do I need?     Posted: 11 April 2008 at 12:52pm |

I have been sorting out my medium stash of nappies for Drew, as the price of having 2 in sposies is ridiculous!!  And I have no excuse other than laziness.  I have all pockets in medium which he almost fits, what else would be a good addition to my stash?  Im sure I could sneak a few new ones past DH lol.  There are some very gorgeous nappies around, which ones should I try??  Thanks!!

I'm loving my new Itti Bitti D'lish nappies but I have no experience with cloth nappies pre-5mths so not sure how they'd stand up to milk-only poo. Saying that though, even at 19mths Leo's poos are pretty squishy and we haven't had any leaks (sorry if tmi!!).

Thanks Vic!  Are they an AIO?  Where can I find them? I am not sure either as my Leo (cool name by the way! ) was about 8 months before we started in cloth so Im not sure what will work best with a smaller baby.

They are AIOs but the absorbant inserts snap into the nappies so that they're quicker to dry. If they're not pooed in you can just change the inserts and reuse the nappy! The inserts are bamboo which I've found to be really absorbant so they take a little longer to dry but the absorbancy & slimness makes up for that. They're selling at www.mothersinstinct.co.nz - but she's also got a few on TM this week only with free post (that's how I tried my first!).

p.s. how cool to meet another Leo!

I just got my new Wigglebums blue flames - but I knicked off with the medium! Though there is still a orange on black flames on TM. It is gorgeous! My two I've gotten from there (waited and hung out for prints I loooved) are my favourite show off nappies.

Bitti D'lish are my other fav going out nappy, as they are so soooft, so nice, and really absorbant and easy to use, and they also fit under Seb's sz1 PP jeans! With room to spare... I think they are about the same size as a sposie, maybe a *little* bigger. I have other home-made (by others) pockets that will fit under those pants, but this one is my favourite.

Ohhh yes and I really want to try a bubblebub... but Seb can undo velcro too easily, so will look at getting one in small for the next bubba
