Reminds me of the time that MIL gave DH the book 'Globesity" and to me 3 or 4 tins of cookies.

Dh has just been to see the MIL....and if it weren't for the TM email, I would have gotten away without her knowing.
Apparently she did see it on the news (as it was on channel one as well) but thought nothing of it.
She has seen the auction and shown it to someone at work who commented "that person obviously hates their MIL". So now she (still) thinks I hate her.
Oh brother!

Oh bum, i was hoping you'd pulled it off! I saw it in the TM newsletter as well and cringed for you - just when you thought it had all died down....hope you brought yourself something nice.
If we're still taking nominations for worst presents....my aunty stopped by the other day with a present for me and the baby. Luckily i didnt open it while she was there because it was and ice cream scoop. Yes, thats right, an ice-cream scoop. WTF!?
